The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company requested the assistance of Danbury for a serious motor vehicle crash.
The Danbury Fire Department, under command of Deputy Chief Bernie Meehan responded with Car 30, Engine 24, Squad 1, a City EMS Ambulance, and a Danbury Ambulance Service unit.
Working alongside Brookfield's responders, the Danbury personnel assisted with removing two victims from one vehicle, and assisting with the treatment and transport of the other four victims.
Once all victims were cared for, the two Danbury EMS units, along with two Brookfield Ambulances transported patients to Danbury Hospital.
Danbury #firefighters assisted EMS to the hospital as well. Within approximately 20 minutes the patients had to be transported from the scene, and all Danbury units returned to Danbury. The Brookfield Fire Department remained on scene to assist the Connecticut State Police-Troop A, while they investigated the accident.
